UK Government Investments (UKGI), the government’s centre of expertise in corporate finance and corporate governance, has opened a new office in Leeds, reinforcing the government’s commitment to building a stronger presence across the UK.
This marks an important step in expanding UKGI’s presence and strengthening how we work with partners in government and the private sector. Our Leeds office will act as a hub for colleagues who want to build their careers outside London, while working on some of government’s most complex commercial interests. It will also strengthen UKGI’s ability to advise on major corporate finance and governance issues whilst helping to make Leeds a leading hub of government commercial activity.
This reflects UKGI’s hybrid model of working, with teams collaborating across locations to deliver long‑term value for taxpayers.
Harry Hampson, UKGI’s CEO, said:
Our new Leeds office opens in a city frequently recognised as one of the best places to live in the UK. Leeds offers an exceptional talent pool, a strong professional ecosystem and excellent connectivity to the rest of the UK.
We’re excited to grow our team here and offer more people the opportunity to build impactful public service careers in Leeds, work in closer proximity to several of our stakeholders, and continue to create value for taxpayers.
The new office will enable UKGI to:
- Access and develop a wider pool of talent from across the North of England and beyond.
- Work more closely with regional partners, stakeholders and other public bodies based outside London.
- Support flexible and hybrid working for existing and future colleagues.
UKGI is now building its team in Leeds and will be advertising more roles over the coming months.
