The purpose of the framework
The purpose of the UKGI competency framework is to provide a clear and consistent explanation of the indicators of good performance at UKGI. The framework is intended to be a simple, universally applicable guide that sets the minimum expectation for all roles at all grades.
How to use
For each competency there is a description of what it means in practice in each grade. The descriptors are intended to be discrete and cumulative, with each level building on the levels below eg a person demonstrating a competency at Assistant Director should also be demonstrating at Manager and below as a matter of course.
